Calling all fairy mice fans!

Journal Entry: Tue Feb 26, 2013, 10:55 AM

I have just finished my latest in a long line of coloring books. This one features the lovable little fairy mice. I think this one will be really fun to color just because of the mischievous nature of the little beasties, getting into all things bright and colorful. I have posted a free-to-color sample page for you to download and color at your leisure. There are 22 single-sided (blank on the back) images, some based on paintings I've done and many newly created just for this project.

All six of my current fantasy themed coloring books can be purchased online at Amazon www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss?url….

A full list of upcoming shows can be found on my website  www.tabithaladin.com www.tabithaladin.com .

Originals and prints of most of my paintings can be purchased directly through me.

Hello everybody:) Its been ages since I updated the journalI know. Lots of non-art life goings on. I just finished a new fairy mouse painting so I thought I'd do a quick journal update. SInce the holidays are almost over and done I can concentrate on art more now. I had great coloring book sales for the holidays. Thank you to anyone who purchased them. Fabulous reviews on Amazon are always appreciated. They help drive sales:) The next coloring book will be a fairy mouse themed one. A bit of a niche market for sure but I really love drawing the little guys and I think they would be fun to color.

All five of my current fantasy themed coloring books can be purchased online at Amazon www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss?url….

Its about time for me to start booking shows for the year. Actually I'm a little behind. I will be at a live ATC trading event toward the end of January in Phoenix. I'm really looking forward to getting out into the world to create and trade some art!

A full list of upcoming shows can be found on my website  www.tabithaladin.com www.tabithaladin.com .

I just got notified that my art has passed jury for DragonCon Art Show and I have been granted my requested space in the show. So expect to see my art there if you go. Its over Labor Day weekend in Atlanta, Georgia. My art will also be at the ComicCon International San Diego Art Show for the first time this year. I wish I could attend the San DIego Show since its so close to me, but alas I have funds for only one trip and tickets to CCISD are impossible to get, it seems, anyway. And this fall my art will be going international at the World Fantasy Convention Art Show which is being held in Toronto this year. Exciting things! I better get painting so I have plenty of art for the shows. A full list of upcoming shows can be found on my website  www.tabithaladin.com www.tabithaladin.com .

Made it through the dry art days that are the holidays and so far this year I've gotten 3 paintings under my belt and I'm currently working on a fairy mouse for a commission. I'd like to get a couple of dragon paintings in since it is the Year of The Dragon. My art will be at several shows throughout the year, mostly fantasy/sci-fi convention art shows. I plan on applying to the DragonCon art show but one never knows about juries. I'll probably go whether my art gets in or not;)

I hope to find the time to create another Dragon Coloring book. I would like to also combine all the dragon coloring books into one super dragon coloring book. I'm not sure I'll have the time, but maybe.

Originals and prints of most of my paintings can be purchased directly through me. I am working on adding shopping cart buttons to my website for easier shopping, but again, its a time thing. Updating my Zazzle store is also on the list. I suppose I need to stop sleeping if I plan on getting any painting done in between all that.:)

Holiday Color:)

Journal Entry: Sat Nov 26, 2011, 1:43 PM

I'm in the usual holiday holding pattern as far as painting is concerned so nothing much new to show till January. In the meantime, I've uploaded another page for you all to color as a little holiday treat. All five of my fantasy themed coloring books can be purchased online at Amazon www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss?url….

Great coloring for any age.

Anyone who is interested in buying prints please message me. I do sell prints of most of my paintings, but they are almost all limited editions and signed and matted so I can't sell them through DA. Many originals are available as well. I will take commissions but I would prefer to stay within the boundaries of what I am actually most comfortable doing (animals) since I don't want to give someone a piece of art I'm not proud of. I can do people but they are not my strong suit. Prices would depend on the details of the request.

Horses to Color!

Journal Entry: Mon Oct 10, 2011, 11:11 AM

The new Fantastical Horses Coloring Book is finally finished! I am so glad to have this done and I'm really pleased with how it came out. It is available on amazon www.amazon.com/Fantastical-Hor… .
As always, positive reviews on amazon are always appreciated and will score you major good karma:). I have 2 sample pages for you to color (see thumbnails below) and an additional sample page on my website www.tabithaladin.com/tabitha-c… .

Here's a link to the other coloring books I already have published. Fantastical Coloring Books by Tabitha Ladin www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss?url…

I still have a couple of paintings in a holding pattern and as always anyone who likes to watch the progress of paintings can check out my Facebook fan page. www.facebook.com/pages/Tabitha… I usually post WIPs of paintings in progress there.

Also in the works are a couple more fairy mice with fruit, I want to have a series of them. And also fairy frogs. I also want a series of them in a rainbow of colors. Yeah, I like making sets.:)

Slow and steady

Journal Entry: Thu Sep 1, 2011, 10:50 AM

As I'm sitting here sulking that my art gets to have all the fun, I've decided to focus on future projects to get myself back in gear. I've decided on the theme for my next coloring book. This one will be Fantastical Horses. You know, unicorns, pegasus, centaur, etc., etc. I think I've got the basics covered but any additional ideas for mythical horses would be awesome. They just have to be visually different from a traditional horse since there will be no text describing them except maybe a title for each image.

Here's a link to the coloring books I already have published. Fantastical Coloring Books by Tabitha Ladin www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss?url…

I have completed a sketch for my next painting and as always anyone who likes to watch the progress of paintings can check out my Facebook fan page. www.facebook.com/pages/Tabitha… I usually post WIPs of paintings in progress there. The next one will be a companion piece to Cirque De La Mer.

Also in the works are a couple more fairy mice with fruit, I want to have a series of them. And also fairy frogs. I also want a series of them in a rainbow of colors. Yeah, I like making sets.:)

A pair of Griffons have been bouncing around in my head too, but I can't seem to work out the composition just yet, so they'll have to simmer for a bit longer.

Just a quick little entry to thank all the people who commented or faved my recent DD, "Cirque e La Mer", or who have become watchers. I wish I had the time for personal thanks to everyone. I appreciate all of it very much!

I have been busy getting my art ready for DragonCon in September and also working on some new paintings for World Fantasy Con in October. My art will also be at ArmadilloCon in Austin Texas in August.

Stepping Out!

Journal Entry: Sun May 1, 2011, 1:19 PM

May is turning out to be a very busy month for my art. The painting is going a bit slower than I'd hoped, but I have art shipped out to 3 shows for may and I will be attending LepreCon in Tempe, AZ the weekend of May 6th. My art will be there and I will be sitting on a couple of panels as well. Should be fun to meet some of the other artists in person.

I have passed jury for DragonCon which is taking place over the Labor Day weekend in Atlanta. I'm excited to have gotten into the show but more than a little bummed that I will not be able to attend this year. I hope my art has a good time for me.

I also passed jury for World Fantasy Convention which will be in San Diego this year the weekend of Oct. 27th.

I am open for commissions, just message me.

Harried Holidays

Journal Entry: Sat Nov 27, 2010, 10:03 AM

The holidays are officially here and traditionally I get almost no arting done at the end of the year. Too many outside obligations and whatnot. It does, however, serve as a great time to recharge my artistic mojo and when January rolls around I'll be all charged up and ready to knock out some fresh art:) For now I must make do with my yearly coloring book marketing push. I have 4 fantasy themed coloring books available at Amazon.com. I have uploaded some sample pages that everyone is free to color and share so long as I am given credit. These books are great as gifts for all ages to color. I also have many original works and prints for sale at my website (see linky below). Note me with questions:)

I've been to DragonCon and back. I sold a bunch of art and had a fantastic time. Now it's back to business:) Lots of ideas bouncing around my head to paint but I can't seem to settle on anything. Maybe I'll start a poll. I also have started thinking about a new coloring book. Any ideas? I've done two dragon themed ones, and fairy and mythical creatures ones. I've definitely been getting into the Halloween mood especially with all the Demon and Halloween themed ATC swaps I've been doing lately. Maybe another Sleepy Hollow painting is in order.

I am currently open for commissions and many of my original paintings are for sale and I also have prints for sale at my website.

Crunch Time!

Journal Entry: Tue Jun 8, 2010, 1:38 PM

Well since I am taking my art to the DragonCon Art Show in September, I have to really crank out some pieces since I'd like to have some newer stuff. I've done a few new ones but maybe a couple more couldn't hurt. I would like to have many originals and lots of prints as well as coloring books so its quite a bit of organizing to get it all together in time for the show. I am very excited about DragonCon and especially the art show. Since I normally mail art to shows I don't get to see the art from the other artists up close and personal. Art always looks so much better in person!

Since I have upgraded my membership to premium I would like to customize a skin for my journal but I haven't the time to figure it out right now.

I am currently open for commissions and many of my original paintings are for sale and I also have prints for sale at my website.

Well, I'm all done with my Fantastical Dragons II Coloring Book. Just waiting on a proof copy before I role it out. Yay for finishing a project! Now I am sort of at a loss as to what to start next. I would love to start a painting but I'm not sure what I want to do. I am thinking something in the fantasy/horror vein, like "Orblivious" or "Red Skull Beetle", but I don't have any specific ideas yet. Sitting around waiting for inspiration to hit can be a drag.
